Welcome to Expomin 2018
Carlos Parada Meyer
EXPOMIN Executive Director
The good moment of the industry has great challenges that mining companies and suppliers have included in their agendas, the main one being productivity with innovation to adapt to the new times.
Not only is the industry’s effort enough, but our country also has a fundamental role in maintaining its leadership worldwide. In this way, we will be giving impetus to a long-lived mining that will generate ventures in other areas, becoming an activity close to everyone.
In this context, EXPOMIN 2018 has been consolidated as an instance to generate new business and a great scenario to debate about the current and future issues of the sector, positioning itself as one of the most important platforms of the industry worldwide, giving it great stability in terms of call: over 1,300 suppliers worldwide and Chilean and Latin American professionals participate in this meeting, and more than 70,000 visits are estimated during its five days.
In this XV version, the emphasis is on innovation. They will present their supplier offers that will bring even more state-of-the-art solutions and technologies closer to the mining companies and other industries that are part of the large mining value chain.
It will be an event where the Congress, Business Roundtables, Technical Conferences, Meeting of Students and Teachers, Smart Tech and Enexpro will be joined in the same direction: to provide great opportunities to the offer of supplier companies as well as to the demands of the productive sector of the industry mining.
EXPOMIN is a benchmark event in Latin America and the entire world. Therefore, international participation has a progressive growth. More than 60% of the exhibitors come from countries with great development in the manufacture of products and provision of services.
The presence of Peru as Official Guest Country confirms the above. This will make it possible to add Peruvian mining projects to a significant presence of suppliers and projects associated with the mining development and investment plan of the neighboring country.
The EXPOMIN Organizing Committee, which is composed of the authorities of trade and academic associations of public and private sector, has structured a Fair according to what the mining of our country seeks: to recover the competitive dynamism in the copper market and increase its leadership in the world.
