Important meetings with different Asian suppliers

Successful EXPOMIN promotional campaign in China

The largest mining exhibition in Latin America was presented at the BICES tradeshow in Beijing, and China Mining in Tianjin, as well as in Shanghai, Taiyuan and Zhengzhou.


An extensive program of activities to coordinate China´s participation in EXPOMIN was recently developed in the Asian country, headed by Carlos Parada, Executive Director of the main mining exhibition in Latin America, and Armando Valenzuela, Program Coordinator for the EXPOMIN Congress.

One of the key activities  was a meeting held with the new Commercial Operator for the  China Council for the Promotion  of International Trade Machinery Sub-Council (CCPIT-MSC), in which its President, Vice-President, Secretary General and Commercial team participated, whereby  a  promotional program of the cities of Beijing, Tianjin, Taiyuan and Zhengzhou was set up.

In this context, 61 meetings were held  in Beijing, with the suppliers at the BICES tradeshow,  organized by CCPIT-MSC, (5) and China Mining in Tiajin (44), particularly in  Dongguan Winning Mineral Separation Technology Co., Ltd.; Beijing General Research Institute of Mining & Metallurgy and Zhengzhou Great Wall Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd can be highlighted.

It is important to single, out the visit made to the Chief Representative of Shanghai,    Antofagasta Minerals, Rodrigo Bravo given the fundamental role that this company is playing in the XV 2018 EXPOMIN International Congress.

Also in relevant terms, a series of activities were carried out,  when introducing the next XV EXPOMIN and its associated events, as well as an overview of the Latin American and national mining, stating the opportunities offered to Chinese suppliers.

EXPOMIN 2018 will be held at the Convention Center in Espacio Riesco from the 23rd through the 27th of April; in parallel, the International Congress will  be carried out, with the theme “INNOVATION FOR MINING DEVELOPMENT”, which will host 13 seminars, workshops and round table sessions, where the most relevant topics will be discussed, among them, supply in mining, labor challenges and mining HR; lithium, markets and technologies; women in the mining field; obstacles/boundaries and challenges; water issues in mining; heap leaching, smelting and mining; and energy challenges.
